This is a beautiful poem that my friend wrote and I wanted to share it with you.
~Christmas Gift~
Christmas is a time for joy
For once there came a baby boy
Who was a gift, to all man kind
For all to see, who once were blind
Jesus is His precious name
We needed Him, that's why He came
Never has a gift been given
Like the Son of God, who now is risen
For those who are lost, can now be found
He paid the cost, now we're glory bound
How God must love us, to give up His Son,
What a sacrifice He made, for all I have done
The Lord taught us the true meaning of giving,
His footprints lead us to all forgiving
In the darkness, His name brings light
His Word shines brightly, like the star that night
He stood crying and said, if any thirst, come unto Me
I give you a drink of living waters, and eternity
So seek the Lord while He is near, call upon His name
His arms reach out His ears hear, have no fear or shame
For unto us was born that day, a gift for you and me
A Savior which is Christ the Lord, who died upon a tree.
