A Verse For You

The righteous man leads
a blameless life;
blessed are his children after him.
Proverbs 20:7

Hey Emily! I love Proverbs! I also love that verse. The thing I would like to add is that the second part of that verse "blessed are his children after him...The way I see it is the children will only be blessed if they "follow his example". Unfortunately, so many parents don't want the hassle of disciplining their children and making sure that they too grow up righteous. After all, we know that our human nature is to lean toward the...shall we say rebellious side? If the parents don't teach their children discipline, and how NOT to give in to the "sinful" nature of humanism, then I can't see how the children will be blessed. I hope I am not being too forward, but I have seen so many "Christian" parents let their children go "wild" rather than disciplining them or teaching them discipline, then in later years wonder why they are rebelling against the parents and God. Just a thought! Love ya! God Bless!
