10 Days of Homeschool Enrichment

I am a little behind but I have decided to do 10 Days of Homeschool Enrichment from Confessions of a Homeschooler. This is one of the best early education/homeschool blogs that I have yet to find. (Comment and share your favorites!)

Deuteronomy 6:5-9 (NIV)

5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

Day 1 is about writing A Vision Statement. Erica (writer of Confessions of a Homeschooler) includes a worksheet to help you determine the whys of homeschooling for your family. It helps set goals and set a direction for homeschooling using God's Word and standards as a guide. She includes questions to discuss advantages and disadvantages that can be very different for each family.

Seriously, this is only Day 1! I am going to pray and then sit down with hubs tonight to really discuss why homeschooling is something we want to do.
